This is my very first red deer that I shot while out hunting with another lady hunter who is learning to hunt.

Where possible I take the carcass as a whole and bring home to process. On this occasion I had 2 girlfriends out with me to help load and bring home.

Venison mince is delicious and makes for great burgers and other recipes. Salami, cabana and sausages are made regularly. A roast in the camp oven is a great family meal or to enjoy with friends. When unable to take a whole carcass,usually when I am out hunting on my own, I will take what I can carry in a back pack and return home with an esky full. A red deer leg will easily fill half. Its heavy and hard work to lug back especially when a hunt takes you kms away from your transport.

From croplands to swamps or river systems to forests, I enjoy exploring and hunting in new locations, it's so much fun and great exercise too. Australia is such a magnificent country with many breathtaking places. I love being out in nature and the wild, it truly is awesome and fascinating but becoming damaged.

Victoria is where most of my hunting takes place. Hunting is a rewarding sport. This arial pic I took to show a forested area in western Victoria where I hunt and take other women on safaris.
